The review: Lennox Callahan lives in a place called Belle Meade. In the public eye because of her mayor father and shunned by her cold-hearted mother, she only sticks around because of her little sister, Sarah. While out one night with her best friends Emerson, Amilee and Dylan in the forest, she runs into Edric, who’s new in town.

She finds herself drawn to him, but her life is thrown into chaos when she finds out, upon her nineteenth birthday, that she’s an Angel. Together with Amilee and Emerson, it is their birthright to dispense justice in Belle Meade. As they learn more about who they are, Lennox finds herself drawn to Edric, who’s got secrets of his own. Eventually, she comes to learn who she really is, why she was born, and what Edric is. His family, the Blackstones, and the Callaghans have long been enemies, but Lennox doesn’t want to fight with Edric. Quite the opposite.

This was a somewhat dark tale with lots going on, and a twist at the end that you won’t see coming that was very nicely done (although it was resolved within a sentence, which felt a bit abrupt). If you love paranormal romance, this book is one for you to put on your TBR list.
