the naughty listTitle: The Naughty List

Author: Jodi Redford

Year of publication: 2011

The heroine: Restaurant owner Lacey McGuire

The heroes: Restaurant owners Ryan Hollister and Bram Colton

The blurb: Makin’ a list, and rocking it…twice.

Perpetual good girl Lacey McGuire has two Christmas wish lists. One suitable for public consumption…and a private one that’s too hot to handle. Right at the top: wild, wicked fantasies about her best buddies and business partners Ryan Hollister and Bram Colton.

Besides the fact they’re both poster boys for Hunks ’R’ Us, they’ve been there for her through thick, thin and the heartbreak of a cheating fiancé. So what if her boys will never know they star in her sexiest daydreams? In her fantasy world, her heart will never get trampled again.

Ry and Bram are pretty sure Lacey never meant to email a list of some of her raunchiest wants. Particularly the one that tightens their shorts—she wants a threesome. With them. Although they’ve loved her for years, they made a pact to keep Lacey off limits in order to protect their friendship. Now all bets are off. And the quest to give her all she wants—and more—is on.

Standalone or series: Book one in the Make Mine a Menage series, but can be read as a standalone

The review: Oh, there was nothing about this book I didn’t like. Best friends to lovers? Check. Hot menage scenes? Check. Happy ending? Check. Lacey, Ryan and Bram have been best friends for fifteen years, a little family of sorts. They all own a bar/restaurant together, and they can’t imagine life without each other in it.

When Lacey ends her engagement after finding out her fiance cheated on her, she thinks she’s doomed to never find true love. When one of Bram’s conquests tells her she’s too goody goody to keep a man, Lacey is determined to prove that’s not true. So one night, while tipsy, she writes what she calls The Naughty List. A list of her deepest desires that she’s never told a soul about. Determined to work on it, she emails it to her work account.

Only to find out the next morning she’s accidentally emailed it to one of her mailing lists, on which two of the recipients are none other than her best friends. The two men mentioned by name on the list, because the last thing she wrote was that she wanted to have a threesome with them. What Lacey doesn’t know is that Ryan and Bram have both been in love with her for years, but never dreamed she’d feel the same way.

It doesn’t take long for their friendship to cross the line, and while Ryan and Bram adjust just fine, Lacey has a tougher time with it. She’s afraid of having her heart broken again and is worried it will eventually end with them, so she makes a pre-emptive move. They’re all heartbroken, but can Ry and Bram get Lacey to see she’s making a terrible mistake? Make sure you read and find out!
